Get ready for an intense NASCAR Cup Series race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway! The stage is set for an exciting battle as the drivers gear up for the opening race in the Round of 8 of the NASCAR Playoffs.
The Battle for Supremacy in Las Vegas
Denny Hamlin and Chase Briscoe lead the pack, but the real action begins with the 267-lap stock car racing extravaganza.
Stage 1: A Thrilling Start
Hamlin takes an early lead, but Briscoe isn't far behind. As they navigate through the first 80 laps, Briscoe makes a daring move, diving inside and taking the lead. The pit cycle sees Byron take the lead, with a slow pit stop from Briscoe. But here's where it gets controversial... McDowell clips the commitment box, earning a pass-through penalty.
Ryan Blaney's tire blows, causing a caution period. With three laps left in Stage 1, Byron, with a boost from Briscoe, takes the lead. And the winner of Stage 1 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is... William Byron!
Stage 2: Larson's Dominance
Briscoe shoves Byron, almost sending him into the infield! Larson leads the pack back to the line, with a three-wide battle for the lead. As the pit cycle concludes, Larson maintains a slim lead over Reddick. Chase Elliott and Bubba Wallace face pit penalties, but Larson drives away to win Stage 2 at LVMS.
Stage 3: A Dramatic Finale
Larson leads Hamlin off Turn 2, with Reddick close behind. As the race progresses, Byron cycles to the lead, with Larson trailing by a second. But Byron's lead is short-lived as Larson takes it away with a bold move.
With 31 laps to go, Ty Dillon slows, and Byron drives right into his back, causing a caution period. Larson leads the field to the pit lane, with Briscoe and others taking just two tires.
The green flag drops, and Briscoe and Logano battle side-by-side for the lead. Ty Gibbs spins, causing a multi-car incident involving Ware, van Gisbergen, Reddick, Chastain, and others.
Briscoe clears Logano into Turn 3, with Bowman moving up to third. Larson, with fresher tires, moves up to second, and then to the lead with a bold move on Hamlin.
With just four laps left, Hamlin works his way to the outside of Briscoe into Turn 1, taking the lead.
And the winner at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is... Denny Hamlin!
Race Results and Point Standings
The race results and point standings reflect the intense competition. Hamlin takes the top spot, with Larson and Christopher Bell close behind. Chase Briscoe and Tyler Reddick round out the top five.
